Using the contemporary styling of the products owner,
I set out to create a logo that would bring old fashioned saddle shoes into
the 21st century. The target market was trendy gay professional men in the
Chicago area. I used masculine black to draw on the shoe’s coloration, and
brought passionate contrast with a deep, vibrant red. The rough-style of the
lettering represents an urban graphic appeal.
